Premier League clubs to show support for England 2018

April 28 – Every Premier League club in the country is to show its support to England’s bid to host the 2018 World Cup with a series of activities for the last two weeks of the season, it has been announced.

Each match will see players wear branded T-shirts during the warm-up period, stadium messages throughout the fixture and information on how supporters can show their support.

The match day programme will also include a personal message from England manager Fabio Capello. 

England 2018 chief executive Andy Anson said: “The Barclays Premier League and its member clubs have been tremendously supportive throughout the season and their collective strength will provide a significant boost to our campaign during the last two weeks.

“With the coverage of all Barclays Premier League matches transmitted across the world there will be significant visibility for England’s bid and we’re extremely grateful to the Premier League and all its clubs for their support.”
