MATCH appoints two agents for 2014 World Cup hospitality in Brazil

October 7 – MATCH Hospitality has continued its appointment of official 2014 FIFA World Cup Hospitality Programme sales agents, by giving Traffic Sports and Grupo Águia the rights to sell the packages in the host country Brazil.

MATCH is the exclusive worldwide rights holder of the programmes, and appointed a joint venture between the two organisations for both the World Cup in 2014 and the Confederations Cup in 2013.

Grupo Águia is one of the biggest specialised tour operators in Brazil, whilst Traffic Sports are a leader in sports marketing in Latin America, and the agreement is the largest for a single territory in the sports hospitality business.

MATCH executive chairman Jaime Byrom said: “MATCH Hospitality is very pleased to have concluded an agreement for the sale of hospitality packages in the host country itself.

“The joint venture between Traffic Sports and Grupo Águia brings together two companies with international football credentials who can boast a unique and extensive network to offer our range of hospitality packages to the widest possible audience in Brazil.”

Traffic Sports President J Hawilla added: “We are proud of having been appointed exclusive sales agents with Grupo Águia for one of the key areas of the most important sports event in the world.

“The 2014 World Cup is the ultimate proof of the evolvement and professionalisation of Brazilian football.
