Venues confirmed for Euro2016 in France

January 27 – The 10 venues for the Euros 2016 in France have been confirmed by the UEFA Executive Committee.

The national stadium, Stade de France, alongside four new stadia in Lille, Lyon, Nice and Bordeaux, as well as stadiums in the two largest cities of Paris and Marseilles.

There had been some doubt as to whether the Parc des Prince, the home of Paris St Germain and under new Qatari ownership, would have completed its renovations in time, but those concerns have been cleared.

Nantes and Montpellier, who hosted matches at the France 98 World Cup, were not chosen.

The qualifying rounds for Euro2016 begin in September 2014, following the qualifying competition draw the previous spring. The draw for the finals will take place at the end of 2015.
