February 19 – Corporate hospitality packages for the UEFA Europa League final at the Amsterdam ArenA on May 15 are still available, 2 months after the sales programme was launched.
60% of the 1,500 available corporate hospitality tickets have been sold.
There are two types of corporate package with prices starting at €690 per person. Platinum gives access to a private skybox, Gold to a shared hospitality business lounge. Both packages include top-category seats, gourmet catering and special entertainment activities in the Gold areas.
The packages can only be bought directly from UEFA and there are no other sources of official hospitality tickets for the final. UEFA are working with the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) to provide the hospitality package.
For general ticketing a dedicated ticketing portal opened on UEFA.com in December December to sell 18,000 tickets to the general public via a lottery process. The sales period for these tickets ended in January.
A total of 38,000 tickets, 79% of the net stadium capacity of 48,000, will go to the supporters of the two teams in the final and to neutral fans. The tow clubs will receive 10,000 tickets each for their supporters – 30% of these tickets will be category four tickets.
There are four price categories for the final tickets: €135 (category one), €100 (category two), €70 (category three) and €45 (category four).
The prices were set by UEFA in consultation with the Amsterdam final local organising committee and the independent Football Supporters Europe network. Dutch fans have been very vocal about the price of Champions League tickets especially, with Ajax even being fined by UEFA for a fans protest over the cost.
UEFA has just issued a request for IT proposals for ticketing and hospitality solutions for its major events. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will cover the IT systems for ticketing and hospitality for UEFA EURO 2016 in France, UEFA EURO 2020 and other major UEFA events going forward.
This will include the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League finals from 2014 onwards.
