January 24- Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will help shape the future of European football after being unveiled today by UEFA as its new coaching ambassador.
UEFA president Michel Platini announced that Ferguson had been recruited in order to “teach the teachers” and improve coaching standards across the Continent.
Ferguson will be chairman of the forum of elite coaches that meet every year as well as a member of the technical study group of the Champions League and the European Championship.
