February 13 – India and the Netherlands government officials have signed a memorandum of understanding for co-operation on sports and sports infrastructure. The first fruit of the partnership is a Amsterdam ArenaA announcing Tenon Property Services Limited and Ecofirst Services Limited, a Tata company, as their local Indian partners.
The agreement provides for the exchange of knowledge and experience between the countries as the Indian government moves to stimulate sports in the country, especially football
Netherlands’ Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport Edith Schippers led the Dutch trade delegation, including Amsterdam ArenA officials, and signed the agreement with her Indian counterpart Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Jitendra Singh.
The Amsterdam ArenA deal is a first step for the Dutch company. Henk Markerink, CEO of Amsterdam ArenA is proud of the achievements: “We are honoured to have signed with Tenon and Ecofirst. Ecofirst Services Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited and focussed on design engineering consultant offering sustainable solutions for the built environment. The companies will co-operate on feasibility studies, detailed project reports and design works of sports infrastructure.
Tenon Property Services Limited is one of the largest providers of facility management and security services in India, and will develop business proposals with Amsterdam ArenA for sports infrastructure clients.
