March 13- The scramble for World Cup tickets in Brazil shows no sign of diminishing with 203,330 of the available 360,000 snapped up within the first five hours of the second period of the second sales phase opening.
The five countries with the most ticket requests were the host nation (143,085) followed by United States (16,059), Australia (5,357), Colombia (4,574) and Argentina (3,800).
All tickets for games involving Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Germany, as well as those for the two semi-finals and the final itself, are reported to have now sold out though this has not been confirmed.
According to reports in Australia, tickets are already changing hands at extortionate prices, with the final in Rio de Janeiro on July 13 being offered on eBay for a eye-watering $4900 each.
A final sales official period commences on April 15.
