March 14 – Budweiser has partnered with FOX Sports to activate its World Cup 2014 sponsorship with a series of football documentaries that will air in more than 55 countries as part of the beer company’s World Cup campaign.
The 6×30-minute series will premiere March 25 in the US and Puerto Rico on FOX Sports 1. The shows are part of Budweiser’s Rise As One FIFA World Cup campaign.
Each episode will showcase a football story from a different part of the world, such as the Japanese women’s national team inspiring their country after the 2011 tsunami or the U.S./Iran World Cup match in 1998 that brokered soft diplomacy.
The films are produced and directed by Scott Boggins and Gabriel Spitzer.
“The FIFA World Cup is such a powerful moment in time which enables the world to join together in celebration of the world’s most popular sport,” said Andrew Sneyd, the global VP at Budweiser.
“We are delighted to collaborate with FOX Sports on this new series and through the Rise As One campaign, to share the many defining moments of football history with the millions of fans around the globe.”
