July 31 – New York City FC has announced that Hays, a British company providing recruitment and human resources services, will be its official recruitment partner for at least the next three years. According to NYC FC, Hays will help “recruit the off-pitch talent [NYC FC] need”.
Hays is already partnered with Manchester City Football Club, which shares the same owner as NYC FC – City Football Group. They will have the option to use the club’s crest, player imagery and brand messaging on digital and social media platforms.
NYC FC have been busy preparing for the coming season by securing the services of two European superstars of recent years, England’s Frank Lampard and Spain’s David Villa.
Situated in the vastly populated New York City, they have managed to drum up a significant amount of support for the club before even playing their first game. They already have an 112,000 following on Twitter, which is bettered by only 2 MLS teams.

NYC FC announced their successful MLS expansion bid in 2013 and are set to play their first home game at professional baseball team New York Yankee’s stadium in March 2015.
