December 19 – FIFA will officially announce later today that it will publish the investigative report by its former chief investigator Michael Garcia into the bidding for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups that were awarded to Russia and Qatar.

With the executive committee meeting finishing earlier than expected this morning, members released very few details as they left.

However, two European members did say that the report would be published and that the committee is believed to have been unanimous in its decision.

“Where legally possible after current investigations completed it will be published,” said one source who wished to remain anonymous.

A second member confirmed that “they are going to publish”.

FIFA General Secretary Jerome Valcke said to Insideworldfootball” “Wait for the press conference. It was a very good meeting, everyone spoke with one voice. There was no vote.”

The official press conference is scheduled for 1pm (GMT) in Marrakesh, Morocco.
