January 21 – Manchester United has announced Irish casino game maker KamaGames as the club’s first official Social Casino Games partner. KamaGames is a specialist in developing games for mobile and is targeting United’s global fan based, claimed by the club to number 659 million followers.
KamaGames says it will launch a portfolio of Social Casino Games that will carry the Manchester United crest, imagery and theme. The first of these games will include multiple versions of social poker, roulette and blackjack games.
KamaGames develops and publishes games on mobile platforms, online, Steam, Xbox Live, and PlayStation networks. Game play is for virtual currency with no actual money being won. The total audience for the KamaGames portfolio is currently more than 70 million users worldwide with over 1million active daily players.
The new partnership will see KamaGames launch a portfolio of social casino games which will carry the Manchester United branding, logo, imagery and themes.
Manchester United Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold, said: “Manchester United is lucky enough to have a huge global following and we understand the importance of engaging with and entertaining our fans. KamaGames and their innovative products will allow us to do this in new and exciting ways.”
The partnership is said to be for multiple years. No figure has been released for the deal.
