Liverpool targets Asian fans with 5 new local online club shops

February 19 – English Premier League club Liverpool has added five territory specific online club retail stores in Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. The club already operates a very successful online store in China which will be the model for the new sites.

E-commerce specialists EZ International will operate the new sites. EZ runs the China store which opened in 2012 and has increased sales in the territory by over 200%, the Club.

The new stores are aimed at Liverpool’s key national markets in the region. Each online store will be in local language, products will be shipped locally with reduced postage rates and the stores will also feature tailored payment methods.

Stores will feature Warrior replica kit and training kit, as well as the full range of Liverpool branded fashion, accessories and souvenirs.

Mike Cox, director of merchandising at Liverpool, said: “The Club has worked with EZ International for a number of years, and their understanding of our requirements in the Asia Pacific region means that the new five online stores will I am sure be as successful as our China store.
