June 10 – Spanish sports apparel brand Joma has signed a new kit deal with Toulouse FC in a move which marks the manufacturer’s first technical sponsorship contract inked with a French Ligue 1 club.
In the 2015/2016 season, Joma will replace Italian brand Kappa as the kit supplier of the Toulouse-based side which competes in the French top tier. The brand’s first official collection for Toulouse for the 2015/2016 season is to be presented over the next few weeks,” Joma said.
“All equipment of any category of the club will be designed and supplied by Joma. Also, the brand will be the only qualified to manufacture, market and provide official sports equipment Toulouse FC,” the statement said.
The amount of the latest deal, which was signed for a four-year period, was not disclosed by the two parties.
Toulouse will host some of the matches of the forthcoming Euro 2016 at its stadium. The sports facility has been modernised since 2012, and it have a capacity of about 33,000 seats.
In addition to the French club, Joma serves as the kit supplier to Italian sides Fiorentina and Palermo, as well as Spanish clubs Getafe and Granada, among others.
