BetVictor puts money on Chelsea to build new accounts and brand

June 24 – Premier League champions Chelsea have announced Gibraltar based sports betting firm BetVictor as their global betting and gaming partner.

The bookmaker is already activating the partnership with a series of special Chelsea offers to punters. The deal will see them branded throughout the Stamford Bridge stadium as well as on club media with a number of joint social media and digital campaigns thoughout the season.

Chelsea Managing Director Christian Purslow said: “We are delighted to welcome Bet Victor into the Chelsea family, and look forward to working alongside one of the biggest names in global betting. BetVictor is a market leader and I am sure Chelsea supporters will be able to benefit from this new partnership in the coming year.”

BetVictor will be boosted by the international profile of the club outside its core UK markets. No figure for the sponsorship was announced.

BetVictor wasted no time activating the sponsorship with an immediate online offer of odds of 1/5 on Chelsea to win a trophy (the Community Shield, League Cup, Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League or Europa League) this season, which would be paid out at 3/1 when they do.

The maximum amount for the bet is £/€10 per household and winning will be paid into accounts as “promotional cash”. Not a hugely attractive bet for seasoned punters but certainly odds that will attract the key BetVictor objective of signing up new accounts.
