Allstate takes the Gold Cup Trophy on Tour

Allstate and Concacaf

July 8 – Gold Cup sponsor Allstate Insurance is activating its partnership with the additional moniker as the Official Protector of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup Trophy. The activation will see Allstate take the Gold Cup Trophy on a seven-city tour across the US during the tournament which kicked off last night in Texas with a win for the US over Honduras.

The Gold Cup Trophy will be displayed at Allstate-organised community events at each venue as well as in the Allstate Fan Zone. Fans can participate in interactive activities in the fan zone as well as view the trophy and meet with US and Mexican soccer legends Brian McBride and Adolfo Rios.

“Soccer has some of the most loyal and passionate fans in sports. There’s no better way to celebrate them than to provide exclusive access to the coveted Gold Cup Trophy,” said Pam Hollander, vice president of marketing for Allstate Insurance Company. “It’s a natural fit for Allstate to protect the Cup, just like we keep our customers in good hands, protecting them from life’s uncertainties.”

Allstate is a first time sponsor of the Gold Cup, signing on as the Official Auto, Life, Home and Retirement Insurance Sponsor. Already committed to soccer sponsorship in the US with the MLS and various community initiatives, this is the first time Allstate has stepped up to a regional partnership. The deal was signed in March by CONCACAF’s marketing agency Traffic.

The Gold Cup trophy tour kicked off at the opening games in Dallas, Texas and Toyota Stadium (July 7) and will visit Chicago, Illinois and Soldier Field (July 9); Kansas City, Kansas and Sporting Park (July 13); Charlotte, North Carolina and Bank of America Stadium (July 15); Baltimore, Maryland and M&T Bank Stadium (July 18); Atlanta, Georgia and the Georgia Dome (July 22), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and PPL Park/Lincoln Financial Field (July 26).

The Gold Cup is being played in 13 cities across the US and Canada with the winning team qualifying for a playoff to determine which CONCACAF team will participate in the Confederations Cup in 2017 in Russia. The US, which won the 2013 Gold Cup, has already qualified for one of the play-off slots.
