July 16 – The Russian Football Premier League has signed a multi-year data partnership with Sportradar which will become the league’s ‘Official Sports Data Partner’, starting with the 2015/16 season.
The deal will give Sportradar the right to collect, archive and distribute official data to the media and betting industry.
The agreement also covers Russia’s national Super Cup as well as the Youth Championship. On top of the data collection and distribution agreement, Sportradar will provide content solutions to Russian digital platforms, including its Live Sports Centre and the soon-to-be launched mobile application.
This data solution fans comprehensive and in-depth real-time data visualisation.
“We are aware that data, and especially live data, is becoming more and more important and Sportradar will be a great partner for us as we strive to provide our fans with most entertaining and engaging content, no matter where they are or which device they use”, said Sergey Pryadkin, President of the RFPL.
A core strength of Sportradar is its links to the betting industry and the provision of data for the on-line betting sites. Sportradar is also a leader in detection and education around the issues of match-fixing. It’s Fraud Detection System is used by a number of federations and confederations, though is not part of the current Russian deal.
