If selected this will be the first time Gareth Bale has faced Spurs since leaving the Premier League side for Real Madrid in 2013. The Welshman is expected to start in a front three with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. Kiko Casilla is expected to replace Keylor Navas between the sticks while James Rodriguez is expected to start on the bench.
Real Madrid don’t start their league campaign until August 23. In contrast Spurs open their campaign against Manchester United this weekend. Perhaps not great timing to have two games in two days, two days before a trip to Old Trafford.
Spurs lost 2-1 to the MLS All-Star team last week but showed signs of form. Harry Kane scored and will again lead the line with Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli in support. Dele Alli could make his first start.
At the back expect the new centre-back partnership of Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen for a second game in succession. Alderweireld is a world class addition for Spurs – if he can remain injury free.

Bayern Munich are expected to bounce-back from their penalty-shootout defeat against Wolfsburg in the German Super Cup last weekend with a win against AC Milan in their penultimate pre-season fixture.
Pep Guardiola’s had consecutive pre-season defeats against Augsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach in the Telecom Cup in Germany, but have Valencia (4-1) and Inter Milan (1-0) in China last month and have been fielding under strength teams.
The additions of Arturo Vidal, Joshua Kimmich, Sven Ulrich and Douglas Costa this summer will more than off-set the loss of Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United.
Milan impressed in beating Inter 1-0 and in China last month and have recruioted Brazil and Colombia forwards Luiz Adriano and Carlos Bacca from Shakhtar Donetsk and Sevilla close to €40 million this summer, but new coach Sinisa Mihajlović is probably lacking quality throughout the team to challenge for top honours.
