West Ham begin countdown to Olympic Park move with Royal London

Royal London

August 25 – Premier League club West Ham United have announced Royal London as its Official Timing Partner in a two year deal that will cover the club’s final season at the Boleyn Ground and its first at the reconfigured Olympic Stadium.

The initial two-year agreement will run for the duration of two historic seasons in Hammers history, the final Barclays Premier League campaign at the Boleyn Ground, prior to the very first at the new Stadium on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Royal London is a British brand that is targeting expansion both in the UK and internationally. No value for the sponsorship was put on the initial two-year term.

Royal London will receive various branding opportunities linked to timing at both stadiums and will also be introducing a range of limited edition timepieces to commemorate the final season at the Boleyn Ground.

Royal London managing director Narshi Bhoja said: “It will be fantastic to be part of the Club’s final season celebrations including the launch of our limited edition automatic watch to commemorate the occasion, and look forward to continuing our partnership in to the fantastic new Stadium.’

West Ham’s commercial director Felicity Croft said: “Royal London is a brand that has a clear synergy with us, as London’s authentic football club, not least with next year’s move to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. I’m sure our supporters will be excited by the prospect of getting their hands on a very special, limited edition co-branded watch.”
