November 23 – A new betting platform with a social twist has launched offering punters access to what the tipsters are recommending, as well as the ability to share their own tips and go head-to-head with friends to see who is the biggest winner each week.
The WantMyBet site is a social network and information driven betting platform that gives users stats, data (from Opta) and the ability to follow professional tipsters and their best bet recommendations.
The site deliberately strips out a lot of the betting jargon to make betting simpler and also more social with the ability to share tips on the site and challenge friends to show who really knows the most about football.
The site encourages competition between users who will also be in with a chance to win cash prizes each week based on particular betting challenges.
The actual betting platform is driven by William Hill, Ladbrokes and BoyleSports. The site makes its money through CPA (cost per acquisition) and revenue share with these bookmakers.
Investor Elliot Gleave, better known as international touring musician and songwriter Example, said: “Combining the social element with betting is a very interesting space that I can see doing very well. It’s a genuinely innovative platform that I think will change the way people place their football bets. Being massive a football fan I’d definitely get on this site to find tips for the weekend.”
