November 24 – French giant Paris Saint-Germain will drop sponsor logos from their shirts for their next two matches, replacing them with the simple message – JE SUIS PARIS.

The Parisien club that currently tops Ligue1 and has rapidly established itself amongst Europe’s elite since acquisition by Qatari owners, face Malmo in the Champions League on Wednesday in Sweden.

On Saturday they play Troyes in their first home game in Paris since the attacks that left 129 dead and many more critically injured. Last weekend PSG won away to Lorient 2-1.

The message will appear in the space normally occupied but the club’s main sponsor Emirates, and “will honour the victims with a message in unison with the vibrant solidarity expressed by the French and International football community during the past days,” said a club statement.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said he would like to “especially thank the Club’s partners Emirates, as well as Ooredoo and QNB, who have released their space on the players’ jerseys.”
