November 25 – Dynamo Kiev have been ordered to play their next two European home fixtures behind closed doors, with a third suspended, and fined €100,000 after their fans were found guilty of racist behaviour.
The Ukrainian side’s Champions League group game against Chelsea at Kiev’s Olympic Stadium last month was marred by crowd disturbances.
A UEFA statement read: “Dynamo Kiev has been ordered to play their next three UEFA competition matches as host club behind closed doors. The third match is suspended for a probationary period of three years.”
Sergei Rebrov’s side will now be without crucial support as they seek a place in the last 16 with Group G finely balanced. Chelsea are at home to Porto on December 9 while Dynamo, two points behind the joint leaders, host Maccabi Tel Aviv on the same night – in front of an empty stadium.
UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body had originally been scheduled to deliver its findings on October 27 but the verdict was delayed pending further investigation.
