November 26 – The kick-off time of the second leg of the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup is being brought forward from 18:30 GMT to 14:00 GMT in response to Tunisia’s 30-day curfew, announced in the wake of the bombing of a bus carrying presidential guards last Tuesday.
The match, between Etoil du Sahel of Tunisa and Orlando Pirates from South Africa, will be played at the Stade Olympique in Sousse in the wake of an ISIS-claimed attack which killed 13 presidential guards (including the suicide bomber) and the imposition by Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi of a curfew and state of emergency and declaration that the country was in a “state of war”.
CAF said that: “We are in touch with the Tunisia FA and authorities and for the time being there is no change to the initial schedule. A statement will be issued if there is an update.”
Security concerns about the tie will be heightened as Sousse was the location of a major ISIS attack, aimed primarily at British and French tourists, which killed 39 people at the beach resort in June.
The final is currently tied at 1-1 following the first leg played in Johannesburg on November 21.
