January 19 – Hull City, Panathinaikos and Sporting Lisbon have all settled their financial fair play issues with UEFA but Galatasaray have failed to comply with break-even rules and have been referred to the governing body’s adjudicatory chamber.
The Turkish champions have “failed to comply with the break-even requirement during the monitoring period assessed in the 2015-16 season”, UEFA said in a statement.
Galatasaray could face a heavy fine or even suspension from European competition when the UEFA Club Financial Control Body makes a decision next month.
Four other teams, Hapoel Tel-Aviv (Israel), Ruch Chorzow (Poland), Rostov (Russia) and Kardemir Karabukspor (Turkey) are continuing to be monitored. They have agreed to ensure break-even compliance during the 2015/16 season.
