More fireworks for Liverpool. UEFA set off second fine in a week

May 27 – Liverpool have been hit with a second UEFA fine in less than a week, this time for their fans letting off fireworks during their Europa League quarterfinal against Borussia Dortmund in April.

The club were handed an €11,000 fine by UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on Thursday for incidents during the thrilling 4-3 second-leg win over the Germans.

Liverpool were fined €57,000 by UEFA on Tuesday over their fans’ misconduct, including offensive chanting, during the Europa League last-16 tie against rivals Manchester United.

And the club are also awaiting the result of another UEFA charge after crowd disturbances during the Europa League final itself against Sevilla in Basel last week.
