June 22 – Forget the ‘in or out’ vote for the UK’s future in Europe on Thursday, Liverpool fans – who definitely won’t be in Europe next season – have until Friday to vote for the winning picture of the new Main Stand redevelopment at Anfield.
Earlier this year the club launched a photography competition in which fans were asked to send in their pictures of theAnfield Main Stand redevelopment for the opportunity to win a prize – manager Jürgen Klopp and club photographer John Powell chose their top 10 pictures which fans can now vote for.
The winning picture will appear in the official LFC magazine, matchday programme and across LFC’s social platforms.
The image will also be hung up at Melwood and in the museum at Anfield. The winner will receive a framed copy signed by Klopp and club captain Jordan Henderson (he is currently in Europe on national duty with England at the European Championships).
Unlike the Brexit vote, the Liverpool photo vote is open to fans worldwide at http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/stadium-expansion/225080-klopp-and-club-snapper-pick-favourite-main-stand-shot-now-it-s-your-turn.
The photographs shortlisted are below. Voting will close at 12pm on Friday June 24.
By then the UK will also know if it has voted to remain a member of the European Community or not. Liverpool will have to wait until the end of the 2016/17 season to know if they are to rejoin that elite group.
