May 22 – Manchester City have signed Carlsberg as their Official U.S. Beer Partner. Carlsberg, through its US distributor St. Killian, will promote initially around the Man City pre-season tour to the US.
The club is taking part in the International Champions Cup in July in the US and will play a derby match against Manchester United in Houston on July 20.
Man City did not release any numbers on the value of the sponsorship or the length of the deal.
The partnership started on Sunday with a viewing party at ahead of Manchester City’s last Premier League game of the season in New York. St. Killian will collaborate with Manchester City to build their base of fans in the US.
As well as a sweepstakes competition to win tickets to the Manchester derby in Houston, Carlsberg will be running several activations at City’s games Los Angeles and Nashville.
