HDI to ride on the shirt sleeve of Hannover 96

August 8 – German insurance group HDI has become the shirt sleeve sponsor of Bundesliga club Hannover 96. HDI is already holds the naming rights to the club’s stadium, a sponsorship it secured in 2013.

“We are very pleased that HDI, as a major employer in the Hanover region and an internationally successful insurance company, has confirmed our long-standing partnership with its presence on the shirtsleeve,” said Martin Kind, Managing Director and President of Hannover 96.

HDI become the ninth sponsor to take up the newly created sleeve sponsorship which until the end of last season was marketed centrally by the German football League (DFL).

Other clubs with new sleeve sponsors for the upcoming season are: Borussia Dortmund: Opel, RB Leipzig: CG Group, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim: Prowin, Hertha BSC: Tedi, FC Schalke 04: Allyouneed, Eintracht Frankfurt: Deutsche Börse, and VfB Stuttgart: Garmo / Gazi.

“With the Trikotsleeve partnership, HDI is consistently strengthening its communicative presence in the Bundesliga. HDI is thus not only present as naming rights partner of the venue in Hannover, but also at all the games at the side of Hannover 96,” said Wolfgang Hanssmann, CEO of HDI Vertriebs AG.

No value was given for the deal.
