January 18 – An Atletico Madrid supporter is in a “serious condition” after being stabbed three times before the club’s Copa del Rey defeat to Sevilla on Wednesday.
Spanish police have arrested a man suspected of carrying out the attack which led to the victim undergoing surgery.
Police said the confrontation took place in front of a bar usually attended by ultra groups. Authorities say they don’t believe Sevilla fans were involved in the fighting.
