January 30 – The stranglehold that German leisurewear and kit manufacturer had Adidas over the UEFA’s competitions looks to be gently releaseing.
Last October Japanese sports ball manufacturer Molten Corporation signed a three-year deal to become the official match ball supplier of the Europa League in a partnership starting in the 2018/19 season and running until the 2021 UEFA Europa League final.
Now UEFA have announced a tender for the supply of referee match kit, a contract currently held by Adidas but which they are stepping away from.
Bids to become the official supplier of UEFA referee match kit have to be submitted no later than 16 February and cover all UEFA competitions.
That means any potential supplier dealing with both TEAM Marketing, exclusive marketing agency for UEFA club competitions, and CAA Eleven Sàrl, UEFA’s marketing agency for national team competitions.
