Liverpool’s Salah adds €74.7m to his transfer value since season start

March 13 – Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah is now worth €74.7 million than he was on 1 September 2017, when the summer transfer window closed, according the latest stats by the CIES Football Observatory.

The Liverpool striker, who has scored 24 league goals, has seen his value increase €300,000 more than Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes (+€74.3 million). Man City’s Leroy Sane is the third fastest increasing value player having gained €63 million.

A third Man City player, Gabriel Jesus, occupies fourth slot in the ranking of increased value with a €53.1 million jump. He is behind PSG’s Kylian Mbappe who secured a €54.7 million increase in value after his transfer in the Summer from Monaco.

Premier League players occupy six of the top 10 slots in the ranking of players who have increased in value.

The top ranked player from LaLiga is Barcelona’s Paulinho Bexerra (+€42.4 – 7th), in Serie A Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic ranks highest (+€40.7million – 9th), whilst in the Bundesliga RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano (+€35.6 million – 12th) heads the list.

CIES only included players in the ranking who did not change team or extend their contract. Transfer values are based on a CIES’s own algorithm. The values of all Big 5 European league players can be seen at http://www.football-observatory.com/-Ratings-eng.
