March 26 – UEFA has released detail of the solidarity and bonus fees for its new Nations League competition which will see €76.25 million shared amongst the European confederations 55 countries.
The fees are scaled by division with League A nations receiving €1.5 million as a solidarity payment, whilst League D nations will receive €500,000. The winners of each league will double their solidarity share as a bonus payment.
The four group winners of League A will compete for the UEFA Nations League trophy in June 2019 with the winner receiving a further €4.5 million, runner-up €3.5 million, third place €2.5 million, fourth place €1.5 million.
The maximum amount of solidarity and bonus fees for a team from League A would be €7.5 million; €2 million for a team from League B; €1.5 million in League C; and €1 million for a team from League D.
The solidarity fees by division:
- League A: €1.5m
- League B: €1m
- League C: €750,000
- League D: €500,000
