May 25 – Timed almost to the last minute, the English Football League (EFL) has announced Watchfinder is its first ‘Official Timekeeper of the EFL Play-Off Finals’ that play this weekend over three days at Wembley Stadium.
The EFL expects more than 150,000 at fans for the three play-off matches, starting with the richest match in world club football, the play-off to reach the Premier League between Aston Villa and Fulham that will guarantee the winner at least £160 million in revenue over the next three seasons.
EFL chief executive, Shaun Harvey, said: “This is a significant innovation for the EFL…The Play-Off Finals have become a sporting institution, with three season defining matches in three days continuing to capture the imagination of millions of supporters at home and abroad, and I have no doubt that this season’s matches will be no different.”
The on-line retailer of luxury pre-owned watches will have visibility across LED perimeter boards, giant screens and the fourth official’s board. Watchfinder branding will also feature on the broadcast domestically and overseas. Prior to the play-offs Watchfinder has been running ticket giveaways via regional radio channels.

The play offs will see Aston Villa play Fulham on Saturday for a place in the Premier League, Rotherham play Shrewsbury for a place in the Championship on Sunday, and Coventry play Exeter for a place in League One on Monday.
