Bayern Munich turn up the heat in China with Viessmann partnership

October 2 – German Bundesliga gaints FC Bayern Munich has signed a new regional partner for China.

German manufacturer of heating, industrial and refrigeration systems, Viessmann, has become an Official Regional Partner of the club in mainland China and Hong Kong.

Viessmann, via its Chinese subsidiary, opened its first factory in 2009 in Hebei Provinceand now has 260 employees across six offices in China.

“The partnership includes the use of trademark rights, meet and greets as well as fan trips to the Allianz Arena,” said a club release.

Viessmann is also partnering in the ‘Next Generation Alliance’ education initiative with the club that includes a range of activities at FC Bayern Football Schools in China.

Bayern earlier this month reached an agreement to set up their third football school in China. The club has schools in Qingdao and Shenzhen and has agreed to set up a school in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province.

“In the Next Generation Alliance we not only want to promote and support the development of youth football in China from the start but also perform educational work to ensure the subject of sustainability is on the agenda for future generations. The improvement of air quality, considerate use of resources and the promotion of young people are centre stage in our partnership,” said Viessmann.
