March 25 – The Royal Spanish Fottball Federation (RFEF) has scored a hat trick of sponsorship renewals with Spanish carmaker Seat, insurance firm Pelayo, and private health clinic Sanitas all agreement extended terms.
Seat’s new two-year deal will see it continue as a Principal Partner of the Spanish national team through 2021 alongside CaixaBank and Adidas.
Seat will be designated as the Official Vehicle of the Spanish national team and will also sponsor the Spanish U-21 team at the European Championship in Italy and San Marino this summer.
Seat already sponsors the Copa del Rey, Spain’s biggest club knockout competition, though a separate deal with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
The four-year renewal with Pelayo, who are an Official Partner, will cover the national team until the end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Pelayo has sponsored the Spanish national team since 2008. That deal will now be extended to the Spanish women’s team which compete at the Women’s World Cup in France this summer.
The extension of the agreement of Sanitas as the RFEF’s Official Medical Provider, will be for a further two years and will cover men’s, women’s and U21 teams.
Sanitas are in the Official Contributor sponsorship category and its deal will expire after Euro 2020.
No figures were announced for the sponsorships.
