March 26 – The Premier League will play its pre-season Asia Trophy in Nanjing and Shanghai in China this July with Manchester City headlining the four-team line-up.
Also competing will be Newcastle United, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Man City will play a semi-final match in Nanjing’s Olympic Sports Centre on July 17 with the third-place play-off and final both being held in Shanghai’s Hongkou Stadium on July 20.
As well as playing in the Asia Trophy Man City’s pre-season tour– ‘Asia Tour 2019, presented by Visit Abu Dhabi’ – will also seem them play Yokohama F. Marinos on July 27 at the Nissan Stadium.
Omar Berrada, Manchester City’s Chief Operating Officer, commented: “We are delighted to return to China and take part in the Premier League Asia Trophy. China is a special place for City – it’s where Pep Guardiola began his City tenure in 2016 and we have a huge number of passionate followers across the country. We’re looking forward to hosting exciting events in China and welcoming local fans to our matches.”
