April 10 – England captain Harry Kane looks like being out for the rest of the season as his Tottenham team battle to secure a top four Premier League finish.
Kane was forced off with suspected ankle ligament damage during Tottenham’s surprise 1-0 first-leg Champions League quarter final win over Manchester City on Tuesday.
He was later seen leaving on crutches with his left foot in a protective boot.
It is suspected the injury is a recurrence of the one that kept Kane out of action for several weeks, the striker only returning to action last month.
When asked if he feared Kane will miss the rest of the season, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino replied: “Yes.”
