August 8 – The sponsorship roster of brands getting into women’s football has been added to by feminine hygiene brand Lil-Lets who have signed a one-season deal with Everton Ladies.
Lil-Lets will be designates as an Official Supporter and will have a branding presence at Everton Ladies home matches, including pitchside branding and matchday activities in the FanZone, as well as across Everton Ladies’ online channels.
Lil-Lets focus its marketing campaign with Everton Ladies to create events and content promoting the benefits of sport and how it can make a difference to the lives of women. The partners “will also seek to tackle period poverty and reduce the stigma around periods for girls and women of all ages through education and promoting open and honest conversations,” said a club press release.
Mary Young, Marketing Director at Lil-Lets UK said: “Participation in sport can make a huge difference to the life of a young girl or woman. Benefits include improved physical and mental wellbeing, body confidence and mindset as well as helping to alleviate symptoms such as period cramps.
“By working with Everton’s Ladies, we hope that we can inspire girls and women in the Everton community, and other communities around the country, to participate in sport and start conversations around periods.”
