Man City blends sponsorship with retail product in Vejo deal 

October 8 – Manchester City has announced health and wellness brand Vejo as the club’s Official Smart Blending Device Partner in a deal that will see co-branded retail product.

Vejo has created a pod-based blender system that it is about the size of a drinks bottles and takes a pod that fits into the Vejo canister and when a button is pushed releases a blend into the water. The drink “supports the core fundamentals of well-being: sleep, stress, movement and nutrition,” said a press release.

Pods contain a mix of fruits, vegetables and superfoods that are freeze-dried within hours of being picked.

Vejo will work with club nutritionists to develop specialised pod-based blends to sit alongside a City co-branded blender starter kit. The drink blends have improved performance benefits. Vejo starter kits currently retail from the company website for $129.

“As part of the partnership, City’s sport science team will have access to Vejo’s in-house team of doctors, dieticians and researchers who develop whole body personalised plans focused on supporting overall health and well-being,” said a club press release.

Vejo’s Manchester City branded starter kit will be available for retail this autumn.
