March 17 – The umbrella body for Europe’s leagues says not a single one of its members are playing competitive football normally as a result of the coronavirus.
The European Leagues has broken down the situation in each of 32 countries in terms of how long games have been suspended for and whether clubs are training or not.
The figures vary from country to country depending on the severity of the virus. In a couple of countries matches are still allowed behind closed doors. Turkey, for instance, is imposing no restrictions on training with domestic fixtures permitted in empty stadiums while in Switzerland, both have been scrapped indefinitely.
