AC Milan and BMW gear up for stylishly ‘holisitc’ partnership

April 7 – BMW has agreed a sponsorship with AC Milan to become one of the club’s premium sponsors as its ‘Automotive Partner’.

The partnership is based on “innovation, sustainability and style”, said an AC Milan statement, and will see BMW branding integrated across the AC Milan business with exposure on the club’s digital and physical assets as well as via branded content opportunities.

Massimiliano Di Silvestre, President and CEO of BMW Italia, said: “As part of our partnership, we are not just limiting ourselves to comms and visibility collaborations, social media interactions, or physical and digital events. Our ambition is to go beyond the technical aspects of a traditional partnership, by pooling some aspirational values of our brands, in order to be more authentic. These shared elements have naturally emerged during our preparatory meetings. The keywords will be culture, style and burst of innovation, but also corporate social responsibility and sustainability.”

Under the partnership, AC Milan will have “access to BMW’s technology and innovative mobility solutions, which will also be made available to players and staff of the Men’s First Team.”

Casper Stylsvig, chief revenue officer of AC Milan said: “AC Milan and BMW are two global icons with a legendary heritage, a shared vision and a future to design together. Strategically, this partnership represents a very important moment in the Club’s growth path that will allow to engage and excite millions of sports fans all over the world by leveraging on the strength of the two brands.”

No value or length for the partnership was given.
