July 22 – Tickets have sold out for the Concacaf Gold Cup quarter-final doubleheader at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, to be played this Saturday July 24.
The 64,000 capacity stadium, that has a retractable roof and a roll-in grass surface, will host Qatar vs El Salvador and Mexico vs Honduras. The State Farm Stadium is home to the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL and has been a regular stop on the Gold Cup schedule, hosting a semi-final in 2019 that also featured Mexico.
Honduras have sold out their last two group games in Houston’s BBVA Stadium, only losing out narrowly to Asian champions Qatar in their last game on Tuesday. If they had drawn or won they would have face El Salvador and Qatar would have been up against Mexico.
The winners of the two matches will travel back to Texas to meet the winners of the the second Quarter Final doubleheader to be played on Sunday, July 25, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Costa Rica play Canada while the USA are up against Jamaica.
Concacaf said tickets for Arlington and the two semi-finals in Houston and Austin are still available at GoldCup.org.
The final at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is already sold out.
Concacaf are encouraging fans in Phoenix to arrive early to avoid traffic delays and to experience the fan zone presented by Gold Cup sponsor Toyota.
