November 3 – Ajax have extended their main shirt sponsor Ziggo for a further two years, taking them through to at least 2025. Ziggo first sponsored the club in 2015.
Ziggo is the largest cable operator in the Netherlands, providing digital cable television, Internet, and telephone service. The company is part of the Vodafone group.
The deal with Ajax and Ziggo will see a focus on providing exclusive Ajax content on Ziggo Sport, marketed via providing benefits for fans.
Menno Geelen, commercial director Ajax: “Ziggo has been on our shirt since 2015 and you can safely speak of a partnership that gets better and stronger every year. We are grateful to Ziggo for the support they have already given and for the confidence in our future.
“As we look back on ten years of main sponsorship in 2025, I’m sure we will look back with satisfaction on the sporting successes we shared and how our fans have benefited from this long-term partnership.”
No value was given for the sponsorship.
Ziggo said that marketing focus “will be intensified immediately via Priority”, the newly launched customer engagement initiative activated by Ziggo and Vodafone. Fans will be given access to special experiences at Ajax and ticket promotions for matches.
Marcel de Groot, VodafoneZiggo consumer market director: “We are proud of the extension of our main sponsorship and see that the appeal of Ajax is only increasing. Ajax will therefore play a major role in our new customer program Priority, alongside other partners such as Ziggo Dome and MOJO We are very much looking forward to letting our customers experience the magic of Ajax, on an even bigger and better scale than before.”
