November 25 – Virtual advertising specialist Supponor has extended its deal with Bayern Munich which will see the club transition to Supponor AIR, the company’s next generation virtual ad solution.
Supponor technology allows replacement advertising to place virtually on any surface and in any weather condition, allowing the club to target advertising campaigns regionally or by national market.
“The popularity of the Bundesliga and other competitions such as the Champions League have given FC Bayern Munich a truly global fanbase, and our ability to reach and activate those fans in their individual markets with virtual advertising technology has become a crucial benefit to our commercial partners,” said Andreas Jung, Executive Board Member, FC Bayern Munich.
Supponor’s software-based AIR solution is fully remotely operated and uses AI/Machine Learning to deploy virtual advertising.

No value or term for the deal was given.
In football Supponor has deployed its virtual advertising solutions in LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and with the English FA.
