January 6 – The club fuelled by petro-chemical wealth has a new energy partner. Abu Dhabi renewableenergy company Masdar has become an Official Partner of Manchester City with the first activation being the support of a global sustainability campaign ahead of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week starting January 15.
Masdar is a specialist in renewable energy, clean technologies and sustainable development, with renewable energy projects predominantly across the Middle East and North Africa, but with a footprint that sees it operating in 40countries worldwide.
No value or length was given for the deal that will include the launch of a global campaign aimed at raising awarenesson the importance of climate action and mitigating climate change.

Masdar is pushing hard with its ambition to be a global clean energy powerhouse and is targeting its project portfolio toreach more than 50GW total capacity by 2030.
