Inter Milan team up with REPs for roll out of Inter Academies in the UAE

February 23 – With covid restrictions easing, Inter Milan have restarted their international academy project opening a second initiative in the UAE in Sharjah. Inter already has an academy project open in Dubai.

Established in partnership with REPs, the new Inter Academy project is the start of a roll out of new academies starting with the city of Khor Fakkan.

The academies will offer youth players the opportunity to receive technical and educational training based on Inter training methods. REPs, who operate a number of sports programmes in the region, will oversee the wellbeing of the players..

After the opening of Inter Academy Dubai, the club has continued to develop the Nerazzurri project in the localregion, with the legendary Marco Materazzi and an Inter delegation inaugurating the brand new Inter Academy in theEmirate of Sharjah today.

The new Inter Academy in the United Arab Emirates was opened in the presence of an Inter delegation led by clublegend Marc Materazzi in Sharjah, where the group was welcomed by his Excellence Eisa Hilal AL Hazami, theChairman of the Sharjah Sports Council.

“The birth of Inter Academy Sharjah in Khor Fakkan, the second in the United Arab Emirates in under six months, istestament to the level of expansion of the Inter brand in a part of the world that we consider key for our club’s ongoing internationalisation process,” said Luca Danovaro, FC Internazionale Milano’s Chief Revenue Officer. “The birth of this new Inter Academy is proof of how the value and power of our project are recognised abroad and how our brand isincreasingly attractive on a global scale.”
