March 7 – Sports leisurewear and kit supplier Puma took a deeper step into the business of supplying official match balls with a deal with Serie A to become the league’s technical partner from the start of the 2022/23 season.
Expanding a deal with Puma that has seen them as the official ball supplier of the women’s game since 2019, the agreement will end Serie A’s relationship with Nike that began with the 2014-15 season.
Puma will be the official match ball provider for all games in Serie A, Primavera 1 competitions, the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa and eSerie A competitions. Puma ois the kit supplier of AC Milan and US Sassuolo.
No value was given for the deal that was described as long term. Puma are the match ball supplier for Spain’s LaLiga and started supplying the English Football League at the start of this season. Puma also have just started a three-year deal with the Malaysian Football League.

Puma said it will amplify its marketing activation via its “Faster Football platform that focusses on performance, innovation and culture.”
