March 22 – Bundesliga club 1. FC Union Berlin has secured digital insurance business wefox as the club’s main short sponsor in a three-year deal starting with the 2022/23 season.
Wefox will graduate from the current sleeve position to the main shirt front position. The sponsorship includes advertising on TV boards, a digital package and hospitality.
The insurer first became the club’s sleeve sponsor for their first season in the Bundlesliga in 2019. Last season Union berlin finished seventh, just outside the European club competition qualifying positions. They are currently in 9th position.

Because only with a strong team spirit can you achieve great things together. Since 2019, wefox can be seen as a sponsor on the jerseys of 1. FC Union Berlin. We are proud to support a club whose passion and fan love causes goosebumps in and outside the Alte Försterei.”
No value was given for the deal.
