June 10 – Applications have opened for the next Rex Sport Master in International Sports Lawprogramme, held in conjunction with the Swiss business management school SSBM in Geneva.
The Master programme is a nine-month course that is predominantly online but with three in-person sessions in Geneva.
The lectures are conducted by Rex Sport members, the invitation-only sports law association that has some of the world’s leading sports law practitioners in its membership.
“We believe that having the right experts is one of the most important factors when studying SportsLaw. The expert’s role is critical in not only delivering high quality teaching but also in making sure that your knowledge is relevant, reviewed and approved by trusted, recognized and known experts,” says SSBM.
Students from the programme have the benefit of becoming part of the wider Rex Sport community.
“All Rex Sport members are furnished with the relevant education and experience and dedicate some of their time to lecturing and sharing their specialized knowledge with the students. In this respect, we also maintain contacts with (through a specific Alumni organization) and support former “Rex Sport students” in their initial steps in the Sports Law industry and assist them also by providing them a platform for their networking activities. Thus, members and former students have the opportunity to obtain an adequate recognition and publicity through the Rex Sport worldwide network,” says Rex Sport.
The course curriculum covers the whole range of sports law issues from jurisdiction to finance, CAS, employment law in the framework of Sport, Intellectual Property, WADA and the Anti-Doping System, Objectives, Structure, the WADA Code Operation, Doping Control & Results Management, p[layer transfers and the FIFA rules as well as FIFA itself.
