January 31 – National Women’s Soccer League’s North Carolina Courage is moving its back of shirt sponsor Merz Aesthetics to the front of the club’s shirt in a deal starting with the upcoming season that kicks off in March.
Merz replaces Continental Tire, which had been the club’s main sponsor since the 2018 season. Merz spent one season on the back of the shirt.
“This partnership is so meaningful for us at Merz Aesthetics,” said Patrick Urban, North America President. “The NC Courage shares many of our values and this partnership supports our vision to fuel confidence by creating an opportunity to further empower women, celebrate individuality and help inspire everyone to live their most authentic life.”
Merz Aesthetics will appear on the front of NC Courage home and away jerseys and will sponsor the construction of a mini soccer field in Raleigh as part of a community outreach project.
The sponsorship includes further stadium branding and digital activations. No value was given for the deal.
