May 16 – With 65 days to go until the kick-off of the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia/New Zealand, FIFA is reporting more than 850,000 tickets have been sold.
FIFA said that tickets are still available with prices for adults starting at $20 and $10 for children.
While the fans are thinking about making their way to the tournament, the World Cup trophy is on its way as well, having now visited 25 out of 32 participating nations.
Last weekend the trophy was in England with Freestyle world champion, Lia Lewis, FIFA Legend, Carla Overbeck and Former Lioness, Carly Telford on the Trophy Tour. Activities included a grassroots community skills session as well as a fan activation ahead of the women’s FA Cup Final at Wembley – won by Chelsea who beat Manchester United 3-2.
The will be in Italy, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Portugal this month before travelling to Australia and New Zealand where it will visit every host city.
